About the Book

Poems depict modernistic anxieties and curiosities, and visualize a modern man, a nonchalant recluse in surging dilemmas but finds no poise. A search for self, externalizes agonies and he creates a void to forget living in oblivion. Visible efforts to synthesize concord between the inner and the outer life create poetic personae, which delve deep into the dense consciousness to locate a doable habitable province. Lyrics reveal depth in perspectives and view present scenario from a multi-dimensional range. It is deconstructing the postmodernist loss of faith- “Love is not God is the truth of this age” and “anarchy is nature”. Conscious efforts to link poetry and social and cultural responsibility appear almost axiomatic and habitual. It is exploring the psyche a truncated age and going into reality abruptly and celebrating life without excluding its hurtful aspects and experiencing of anguish. Lyrics are an instance of realization, awakening and consciousness. Elegant and rhythmical seductive short and long lines, at times with stirring images and striking turn of phrases, hold out a vision of peace and harmony and effectively compound power of poetry to create reality imbued with feelings.
