About the Book

Stories for those who still believe in Magic and Adventure is a short collection which spans a period of transformation from adolescence to teenage. “Ocean Adventure” is a story written for the middling crowd of 8-12 years. Stories from Africa were penned down by the author in her early teens. They will make an appearance later in the longer format of a novel. The stories of Archangel Raphael are meant to be an extended collection, of which we have a single entry in this collection. The stories in the collection represent the idea that there is wonder in the most ordinary things if we haven’t lost the innocent curiosity of the child within. Creativity is often stifled by the shifting sands of dead habit and it is the books we read which can lift us up on the wings of imagination.

About the Author

Rose Taniya Joly is your regular everyday teenager with one tiny difference. She loves to travel through the mists of time, sub-merging herself in ancient myths and bringing forth their aura of mystery and adventure in her stories. It helps to have an extensive library at home on this theme, courtesy her mother who does research in Mythology. Her father is a Superintending engineer with a Masters in Rocket Propulsion systems. Rose has an older sibling, Anna, who has graduated with a Degree in Electronics and Communication. At present Rose is in her second year at college pursuing a Graduate Degree in English Language and Literature, a course which she believes will be conducive to her dream of being a writer. She has done a course in German and is studying French as a second Language to achieve her alternate dream of becoming a translator in The United Nations.
