Night is a Black Magic is a collage of myth, landscape, human emotion, philosophy of love and eternity. The anthology is a collection of thirty five love poems in blank verse. Love poetry in Night is a Black Magic is an outcome of recent experiments with words and emotions. The range of love poems in the collection offers subjective and objective approaches and expressions that often play across serious spiritual notes. In Night is a Black Magic, there is enough hope and space to dissolve in spatial love. In the collection, Krishna and Radha's staunch leela engrosses many folds of spiritual love. The book of love poetry offers a spiritual journey ever, where every soul is dissolved and then fades away in the cosmos.
I grew up in a remote village in Odisha. In prime youth I met my sensory in the high lands, rivers and indigenous cultures found in the forests and mountains of Odisha and Assam. I began writing poetry and short stories while in school and college, and published in school and college magazines and latter in national dailies and periodicals. During the years, travelling occupied my poetry and I met people and cultures around the globe which inspired to write with new themes and experiment new techniques. Love poetry in Night is a Black Magic is an outcome of this rough garage. I would continue finding causes for social and cultural changes in my writings. I always believed that art and creativity has many folds of responsibilities.
