The journey of life, while passing through different phases and milestones, reminds us of a bunch of colours. All of them offer certain memories to cherish forever. They arouse numerous feelings and emotions, manifested in various forms of expressions which may be carried over to the following pages of life in a covered shell. ‘Wings of Western Ghats’ is a gift to the readers; a fascinating voyage through nostalgic feelings and everlasting memories, touching the heart from very close distances. Human life is always a mix of emotions which the poet attempts to trace and sketch in the context of dreams and grim realities. Most of the poems here draw the conflicting situations, along the hedgerows of natural phenomena, against the backdrop of dreams and realities amidst nostalgic vibes. Interestingly, the poems leave an element of thought with readers to brood over, creating enduring marks on heart’s walls. Also the humour, hidden among the words, makes reading a wonderful experience. So read through the poems as cheerful as a lark and listen to your heart’s voice!

Joshy. K. J, born at Pombra, a village in Palakkad district, Kerala, completed his primary and secondary schooling from AUP School Pombra and GVHSS Karakurissi respectively. He attained a Bachelors and Masters degree in Economics from Calicut University, Kerala. Also he did his Masters in Business Administration, specializing in finance, from Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Devi Ahilya University, Indore. He completed his M.Phil in Economics from Christ University, Bengaluru. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at Christ University and pursuing his Doctoral studies there. He has started the journey of writing during his school days. His passion towards literature extends to other Indian languages too. Grey Haired Years was the first collection of his poetry published. For him life is fascinating – with coloured dreams and unending challenges. His poems and short stories depict different phases and milestones of human life in the context of grim realities.
