Jacob Abraham was born in 1979 in Pathanamthitta, Kerala. The author of numerous pieces of literature in Malayalam, his stories have bagged many prestigious awards including the Mathrubhumi Azchapathippu ( The No 1 Literary Magazine in Malayalam)Short Story Prize, the Muttathu Varkey Award, and the Weblokam Short Story Prize. Tattoo has won the Kerala Sahitya Academy’s Geetha Hiranayan Award in 2013 and the Kerala State Language Institute’s Karoor Award for the best short story collection in 2012. Abraham currently works as a senior copywriter in Club FM 94.3 Kannur Station (Mathrubhumi Initiative). Marangalkidayil Oru Monastry is his debut novel. He lives in Malabar with his wife and son. Minu Susan Koshy is currently pursuing Ph.D in Comparative Literature at the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. With mastery over Malayalam, Spanish, Sanskrit and Italian, she is passionate about translating literary works. She has over 15 publications in reputed national and international journals and was also a member of the editorial board of the 17th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), 2012. Her book titled Narrating Childhood Trauma: The Quest for Catharsis was released in January 2015 by DC Books-Expressions.
