Prabhat K. Singh, academic, critic, bilingual poet and translator,is Professor, Department of English and Other Foreign Languages, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University, Varanasi. A distinguished scholar and teacher, he has to his credit several published books of critical and creative writings, and dozens of research papers in prestigious Indian and foreign literary journals. A recipient of the National Millennium Honour 2000, the Padmashri Dr. L. N. Dubey Memorial Honour 2001 and the Michael Madhusudan Award for Literature 2003, Dr Singh has been on academic visits to Malaysia, Spain, Singapore, Australia and the USA.
