TulsiBhandari was born in a quiet secluded mountainous place called Raidhaar, in Almora district. An old time alumnus of Isabella Thoburn College, she earned a master's degree in Chemistry from Lucknow University. A postgraduate in Education from Bangalore university, she had been a teacher and educational advisor. She turned into a devout disciple of Sri Aurobindo ever since she chanced to come across his book Essays On The Gita in die Jawahar Lal Nehru Library Jakarta, Indonesia in 1994 and then on deeply inspired by the loftiness and profundity of his extensive writings she has remained driven to spiritual pursuit.
Her first book: The Autonomous Adult and Karma Yoga, is based on her experiences with Eric Berne's Transactional Analysis, The Bhagwag Gita and Sri Aurobindo's Integral Yoga.
Yoga Of The Gita For The Modern Seeker, her second book can be called an extension of it.
A revised and enlarged edition of her poetry: Towards a Touch of Supreme, was published by Authorspress in 2017.
Pages from her diary were earlier published as a book of poems in Hindi called Antarchetna.
