Swetha Prakash is an award winning writer who holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Warwick. Her short story has won the prestigious Scottish Book Trust/Jura Malt Whiskey New Writer award and was selected to spend a month at the Writer's Retreat at the Isle of Jura. Swetha has also been a recipient of the British Council's Charles Wallace India Trust Award to study creative writing at the Scottish Union's International Summer School. Swetha is the author of 4 children's books including Padma Goes To Space, which has been published in several Indian languages and has been ranked 12th among the 50 books parents should read to their children. Swetha has illustrated 4 books including a Spanish book of stories. She has edited the book Storytelling for Educators for the storytelling NGO Kathalaya. Swetha lives in Bangalore with her husband Prakash and son Anivart.
