Dr. Satwinderpal Kaur Gill, working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. She did her Master in Library and Information Science from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She did her Ph. D in Library and Information Science from Guru Nanak Dev University. Her major area of specialisaton is information seeking behaviour/ user studies, knowledge organization and library classification. She started her carrier as College Librarian at Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurad, Ludhiana. Thereafter she served at GHG Institute of Law for Women, Sidhwan Khurad, Ludhiana; and Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar. In 2011, she joined Guru Nanak Dev University. She has published a book; and a number of research papers in conference/seminar proceedings and journals of national and international repute.
