Biswakesh was born in January 1931. He joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) – the Premier Police Service of India. He served for thirty years in various capacities in police service and retired as Inspector General of Border Security Force.
Biswakesh has authored six books in Odia, six collections of short poems and one long poem sequence in English, besides a book on Terrorism and Insurgency in India. He has published three historical fictions titled In the Cradle of the Seven Sisters (on Indus Valley Civilisation), Kharavela – The Warrior Seeker and Konark A Story of Explosive Love in English.
One poor Odia Deccani Brahmin boy makes an incredible journey from a small village in Odisha, converts to Islam, goes to Persia and ultimately becomes a powerful ruler of Bengal. His grand-daughter, a Muslim girl makes a journey to Cuttack marries a Hindu king of Odisha that creates havoc in Odisha leading to unfortunate situation.
This is a historical fiction set in the early 18th centuryAD.
