Dr Sangeeta Sharma is head, department of English at Birla College of Arts, Science and Commerce, affiliated to the University of Mumbai, India. She is widely published as a critic and poet. Her poems and research articles are published in reputed books and journals like: Labyrinth (Gwalior, India); Stephen Gill’s WorldPeace Academy (Ontario, Canada); Acerbic Anthology (USA), Episteme (India), Setu Journal (Pittsburgh, USA), GIEWEC’s Writers, Editors, Critics (Thodupuzha, Kerala), Panorama of English Literature (New Delhi, India); Global Responses to Literature in English (New Delhi, India);Changing Face of Women in Literature: The Flaming Spirit (New Delhi); and World English Literature: Bridging Oneness (New Delhi, India) among others.

Besides that, she is a regular freelance for Mumbai-based national newspapers for the last 15 years. She is the director of the UGC-sponsored Functional English Programme and the Centre for Foreign Languages at Birla College.

In 2012, she authored a book In the Shadows: Women in Arthur Miller's Plays and co-edited Indo-Australian Anthology of Poems, Delightful Dickens: Some tributes, PCK Prem: Echoing Time and Civilizations, The Renaissance Man: Rob Harle – A Study of His Artistic Universe and Indo-Australian Anthology of Short Fiction

Many of her literary and critical articles have been anthologized. In 2013, she submitted her UGC-sponsored Minor Research Project on the Structural, phonological, orthographical, grammatical and lexical differences in British and American English. Under Faculty Exchange Programme, she was twice deputed to the University Department of English, Clayton State University, Georgia, USA, in 2012 and 2014.She was the only one from India to present a research paper in the 38th Comparative Drama Conference, Baltimore, M.D., U.S.A. in April 2014, on Arthur Miller.

In 2016, she was the chaperoning teacher for the Student Exchange Programme from Birla College, Kalyan, to Tianjin University of Technology, Tianjin, China.

She has also visited Europe.
