The details of the scenic spots, mesmerising waterfalls, caves, lakes, temples and rock paintings apart from craft, culture, traditions of worship of ancestors, tribal Gods, dance, food and festivals with different customs associated with them have been vividly described. The legends, history and folk-lore associated with the place, festivals and tribes are an added attraction.

The author describes, how the celebration and group activity, in perfect unison, in the longest festival of the world, (i.e. Bastar Dussehra) is observed and as to how, the Ghotul system prevalent in the area is a living university, where life's education is taught without the aid of books or tests .These can be lessons/case study for modern management/B -Schools.

The unique customs that exist amongst the Dorla tribes like Frog Marriage to get sufficient rains, the concept of old age and how environment is protected by tribals of the area by age old practices etc., will surely interest any reader. As no one can replicate Bastar without a visit the author also requests one and all to visit this ancient place at least once to have a feel of the place and to have an experience of a lifetime.

The author, Bishnu Mohan Panda, was the General Manager of PNB, Director of Everest Bank Ltd., Nepal and Ex-Director in the boards of many companies. Presently, the author is engaged as a Financial Advisor, in REC Power Distribution Company Ltd. (A wholly owned subsidiary of REC, Govt, of India Enterprise). For professional requirements, the author had the opportunity to visit different parts of the country and even abroad.

The author is a passionate traveller and many places attract him amongst which Bastar of Chhattisgarh is one such place. The author has researched a lot about the positive side of this land and its people which is one of the most ancient places with tribals and simple people inhabiting the area. This book is the outcome of all the above mentioned efforts of the author.
