Gopikrishnan Kottoor is an award winning poet. His prizes for poetry include the Special Poetry Prize (Special Category) and the Second Prize (General category) in the All India Poetry Society-British Council Poetry competitions. His poems appear in Verse, Seattle, USA (Special Edition of Contemporary Indian Poetry in English), The Bloodaxe Book of Contemporary Indian Poets, Both Sides of the Sky: Post Independence Indian Poetry in English, among others.
