Silima Nanda is presently the Director of International Division, IGNOU. As an academic administrator, she coordinates international operations of the university. Before joining IGNOU, she worked as an Associate Professor teaching English Literature in many prestigious colleges of Odisha and has been actively teaching and supervising scholars. Her specialization is American Literature. She has authored three books and has contributed more than thirty scholarly articles to journals of repute. As an active Research mentor she is supervising PhD scholars.She has participated in many national & international Conferences and has also widely travelled the overseas. Besides an academician she has an avid passion for composing poems and recently her first collection of poems entitled the “Lost Connections” has been published.
