Dr. N. K. Neb is an Associate Professor in the P.G. Dept. of English D.A.V. College Jalandhar. He did his Ph.D. on the novels of Shobha De from Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar in 2004. His books on Indian English fiction, literary theory and poetry titled Culture in Transition: A Study of Contemporary Indian-English Fiction, Contemporary Literary Criticism: A Select Study and Insight: A Critical Study of the Poetry of Kulbhushan Kushal have been highly appreciated by scholars and students of literature. The books edited by him include : A Spectrum of Indian-English Fiction: Critical Studies (2002) Emerging Modes and Metaphors: Perspectives on Indian-English Fiction (2004), Perspectives on Diaspora Indian Fiction in English (2005) Perspectives on the Partition Fiction of the Indian Sub-Continent (2007), Reflections on Contemporary Indian English Fiction (2011) and Contemporary English Literature : Ideological Perspectives (2014). His research papers have appeared in a number of edited books and literary journals like Punjab Journal of English Studies, The Criterion, Pragati's English Journal, Dialogue, The Literary Musing, Reflections, Cyber Literature, The Vedic Path. He has contributed to developing understanding of fictional art through his publications on the art of fiction writing. He has a passion for creating stories capturing the elusive rhythms of feelings and the power of unbridled emotions mirroring the grey shades of rainbow of relations. He has been the Editor in-Chief of Pragati's English Journal since 2001.
