Tarun Kanti Rout
Tarun Kanti Rout (b.1964) was born in Balasore, Odisha. He took a first in Post Graduation in English from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack and subsequently completed M.Phil. in Commonwealth Literature in Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He also passed P.G. Diploma in Journalism from IIMC, New Delhi in 1988. Before joining All India Radio, Rout taught English in a Degree College in Odisha from 1989 to 1991.He received a fellowship under Colombo Plan of Govt. of India and studied radio production in great depth at RNTC, Hilversum, the Netherlands in 2000. His radio plays have won critical acclaim in India and he has been nominated for PRIX ITALIA twice. Presently he is working as Assistant Director at National Academy of Broadcasting and Multimedia, Bhubaneswar.
