Dr. S. Kalamani is an Associate Professor of English in Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women for Women, Coimbatore. She has twenty-eight years of teaching and twenty years of research experience to her credit. She has guided five Ph.D. scholars, twelve M.Phil. scholars, and more than twenty M.A. students. She has published research articles in reputed national and international journals, chapters in books and presented papers in national and international conferences. Her areas of interest are American Literature, British Literature, Translation Studies, Dalit Literature and Indian Writing in English. She has been in the editorial board of the University Magazine and the University News Letter. She has been actively involved in outreach programmes for more than fifteen years.
