Jagdish Bali (born 1971) belongs to Ahar, a far off village in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. Teaching as lecturer in the Higher Education Department of the state, Bali is also a well acclaimed motivational speaker. He also anchors public functions. Having done MA in English Literature and Bachelor of Journalism and Mass-Communication from HPU, Shimla, he started his career in 1996 as Sub-Editor with the Indian Express, Chandigarh. Apart from a year with The Indian Express, he had some small stints with other national dailies also. In 1999, he left journalism for teaching. Since then, apart from classroom teaching, he has been actively participating in various programmes, seminars and workshops on communication skill and personality development as a key resource person.
