Megha Bharati
Dr. Megha Bharati ‘Meghall’ has been working in the field of art, culture and literature for the past several years. She has received numerous awards for her contribution to the respective fields along with her social works, including:
- Indian Medical Association Award on Doctor’s Day-2001.
- Uttarakhand Urdu Journalist’s and Writer’s Committee Award, 2006.
- “Sarvashrestha Geetkar” Award (Best Lyricist) for Kumauni Film “Cheli” -2012 (songs sung by Hindi playback singer Sadhna Sargam)

- As ‘Gazal Shahzadi’ of U.P., 1999.

As a director, writer, singer and composer many of her albums and films have been released. She is also active as an editor, referee and poet for different national and international journals, magazines and books in distinct languages such as English, Hindi and Kumauni. Born and brought at Nainital, presently she teaches English Literature at the University Campus of Kumaun University at Almora (Uttarakhand). As an author she has the following books to her credit –
