Sumitra Mishra
Major Dr Mrs. Sumitra Mishra has served the Govt. of Odisha in the Department of Higher Education as a Reader in English language and literature for 36 years in different Govt. Colleges. After retirement from service as the Principal, Govt. Women’s College, Sambalpur, she is staying at Bhubaneswar pursuing her pleasure; reading, writing and research. An avid reader of English and Odia literature, she has published some poems, stories, articles in different magazines both in Odia and English. Her first anthology of Odia poems published in 2013 is captioned “UDAS GODHULI”. Her first book of English poems, with the title “The Soul of Fire” is co-composed with her husband Prof. Dr. Gangadhar Mishra, Retired Professor of English. This is her second anthology of English poems.
