Dr. V. Vishnu, M.Sc., B.Ed., M.L.I.Sc., PhD is presently Librarian cum Information Officer & Head of the Division of Library and Information Services, Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram (RCC), one of the front-running Cancer Centres in India. He has been in this profession since 1995. Before joining RCC, he has worked in Vocational Higher Secondary Education, Govt. of Kerala and Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur. He was instrumental in developing the Library Division of RCC into an Oncology Resource Centre of the State. RCC library is one of the most sought after resourceful libraries by the medical and research professionals from in and outside the State. Awarded PhD by the University of Kerala for the research topic ‘Information needs, Use Pattern and Information Seeking Behaviour of Oncologists and Oncoscientists in the IT Environment’. He has several publications to his credit.
