Jacob Abraham was born in 1979 in Pathanamthitta, Kerala. The author of numerous pieces of literature in Malayalam, his stories have bagged many prestigious awards including the Mathrubhumi Azchapathippu ( The No 1 Literary Magazine in Malayalam)Short Story Prize, the Muttathu Varkey Award, and the Weblokam Short Story Prize. Tattoo has won the Kerala Sahitya Academy’s Geetha Hiranayan Award in 2013 and the Kerala State Language Institute’s Karoor Award for the best short story collection in 2012. Abraham currently works as a senior copywriter in Club FM 94.3 Kannur Station (Mathrubhumi Initiative). Marangalkidayil Oru Monastry is his debut novel. He lives in Malabar with his wife and son.
