Dr. G. Albin Joseph is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work, Assam University (A Central University), Silchar, Assam. He is also serving as NSS Programme Officer in the University. Previously, he worked as Lecturer in Madras School of Social Work (Autonomous), Chennai, Arul Anandar College (Autonomous), Madurai, Vidhayasagar Women College, Chengulpattu and Shree Chandra Prabhu Jain College, Chennai. He has done his MA, M.Phil, Ph.D in Social Work in University of Madras, Bharathidasan University and Bharathiar University respectively. He also worked in NGOs in different capacities in Tamil Nadu and Kolkata (West Bengal).
Dr. Joseph has presented several research papers in the national and international conferences. He has published many research papers in national and international journals and edited books. Presently, he is guiding Ph.D scholars. He contributes his expertise and technical support to NGOs on proposal writing, evaluation and rehabilitation of persons with disability. His areas of interest are youth development, disability studies, rural development and integrated social work practice.
