Shiv Govind Puri (Born: March 1977) is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Modern European Languages, University of Lucknow (U.P.). He studied in Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. His areas of interest include Contemporary Indian English Fiction, Australian Literature and Indian Literature in English. He has recently completed a UGC sponsored Major Research Project entitled “Other Voices: A Study of English Fiction by Contemporary Indian Women Writers”. He has supervised 11 Ph.D. scholars, and 08 Ph.D. research scholars are still working under him. He has also guided two M.Phil. students for their dissertation. He has done a course on ELT, PGDTE from TEFLU (CIEFL), Hyderabad.
