M.V. Ravi Shanker was born in 1968 in Vijayawada. Being the son of a Central Govt. Employee, he had the opportunity in studying in various place in India like, Imphal, Port Blair, Mount Abu and New Delhi.
A voracious reader, he read many of the works of P.G. Wodehouse, Michael Crichton, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Paramahamsa Yogananda, Stephen Hawking and Robert Monroe. Out of this love for reading was born the urge to write as well. And so came his first Supernatural Thriller The Collision of Dimensions (the main setting in the story takes place in Mount Abu). The Call of the Māyāvi is a sequel to that.
Ravi Shanker lives in Hyderabad with his wife Sri Satya and daughters Nandini and Sivani. Currently, he is planning a third book as a final part of the Trilogy.
Presently, Ravi Shanker works for Tech Mahindra in Hyderabad as Business Intelligence Facilitator.
