O.P. Arora has an excellent academic record with a Doctorate in English Literature from Punjab University, Chandigarh. He has taught in Delhi University for over three decades. He is a passionate writer and infuses freshness of his ideas into his writings. His deep insight, profound thought-process and evocative expressions lend charm to his novels and make them rich and interesting. His last novel, The Silken Traps, has been critically acclaimed as a true portrayal of contemporary Indian social scene and a great work looking at human relations in a novel way.

His four volumes of poems have earned him a distinctive place among the Indian poets writing in English.
