Dr. Sambit Panigrahi was born on 29 May 1978 at Balasore, Odisha. He completed his post-graduation from Utkal University, Vanivihar and obtained a Ph. D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. His doctoral thesis has been published under the title Patriarchy against Nature/Woman: A Green Study of Joseph Conrad’s Fiction. He presently teaches English Literature at Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. He specializes in modern and postmodern literature.
