Mamata Dash is a renowned figure from Odisha. She has a multidimensional personality in the sphere of literature covering poetry, fiction, literary criticism and translation. Her other fields of interest are spiritual discourses, socio-cultural works and philanthropic missions. She occasionally writes in English. She has published eight collection of poems, three short story collections, one novel, one book on literary criticism in Odia and fifteen books as translation from English and Bengali. Besides, she has published a number of scholarly, informative and feature type articles in various journals.
Among her awards and honors she has received are: Odisha Sahitya Akademy Award, Bhanuj Rao Award from Gangadhara Rath foundation, Bharata Naik Smriti Sammana from Sambalpur University, Odisha, Fellowship fromGovernment of India (Department of culture). She has carried out research work on The genesis and evolution of ‘Radha Consciousness’.
Mamata lives in Pondicherry and Bhubaneswar pursuing her literary and other cultural and philanthropic works.
