Sujata Parashar, is a bestselling novelist, poet, short story writer and activist. Her debut novel, In pursuit of infidelity (2009) was a bestseller. The second in the series, In Pursuit of Ecstasy (2011), was long listed for the Economist Crossword Book Award 2012. Her latest novel the third in the “pursuit” series, In Pursuit of a Lesser Offence, was released in January this year and has received a great response.

Her first book on poetry Poetry Out and Loud, was awarded the first prize in 2012 by Butterfly and the Bee, a Delhi based literary agency. Its popularity encouraged her to come out with a sequel POAL- II in 2013. This is her third poetry collection in the series. She’s currently busy writing a non-fiction and simultaneously working on her first collection of short stories.

Sujata is also on the Executive board of Empowering Minds, a Delhi based NGO which focuses on Education and Mental Health issues of the marginalized and neglected sections of the society. Sujata helps the organization with their strategies and project implementation.
