Khawar Khan Achakzai, a doctor by the day and a reader and writer by the night. Born in Kashmir, he has had a penchant for poetry, literature and writing since childhood and has been writing for newspapers and magazines for more than a decade. His work usually spans the sociopolitical scenarios of the world in general and his homeland in particular.
His poems transport the reader to a place which is a territorial conflict and has witnessed turmoil and political perturbation. His work has stark connotations of the troubled testimonies that Kashmir has witnessed and tells tales of survival, hope and love, an art mastered immaculately by it’s people.
