Ranjita Dawn
Dr. Ranjita Dawn works as Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at Loreto College, University of Calcutta. She has received her Doctorate from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and has been working in the area of Disability Studies in India since the last 17 years. Her association with organizations and schools like Blind Relief Association, National Association for Blind, New Delhi and Lighthouse for the Blind has helped her discover the zeal for addressing the cause of people with disabilities. She has authored many papers in various international and national journals and edited books. She has also authored two books–Psycho-social Dynamics of BlindStudentsand Visual Impairment– aim to bring the problems and issues concerning persons with disabilities to the forefront.
