The poems in this anthology deal mainly with the contemporary themes and issues. Since the content of the poems are given preference to style, majority of the poems in this anthology are poepro or combination of poetry and prose. As we are aware, free verse is the medium used now by almost all poets in the world. The margin between prose and poetry is very thin or overlapping now. The function of poetry is to instruct and delight and the present world groping in darkness needs more and more great values and messages. So that is the motivation behind this poetry conference and the poems published in this anthology—impart good values and messages to the minds.
This book contains on each poem of 87 poets. The poets are mainly from different parts of India except a few from abroad. Most of the poets are renowned internationally and nationally with a number of books to their credit. Though a few poets have no published collections as such, they have composed and published innumerable poems in journals, magazines, newspapers and anthologies.
