Saranya Francis is a multilingual poet, a freelance life skills and English language trainer. She has to her credit two anthologies of poetry titled “Ambedo” and “Being Purple”, and has co-edited three volumes of “Confluence”, an anthology of collaborative poetry. “Sonder” is her third anthology of poems to be published. Saranya is also a seasoned proof reader and editor for academic and non-academic books and a highly sought after faculty development training facilitator. Saranya is the recipient of the Bharat Award for Literature (2018), Rabindranath Tagore Award (2017), and National Chanting Bards Award (2017) instituted by Xpress Publications. She is the Secretary of ZAV Foundation, an NGO working in the area of education and women empowerment. She represented India at the World Youth Day, Toronto, Canada (2002). She was invited to speak at the Pope's Council for Interreligious Dialogue, Vatican City, Rome. Her works have been featured in reputed anthologies such as: Amaravati poetic prism, Efflorescence, GloMag, Symphony of Peace, Muse India, Cherry Blossom, Yuga Purusha, among others. She currently teaches English as a visiting faculty at select colleges in Bangalore.
