While Sindhoor's debut poetry collection traverses from the chrysalis to butterfly phase I consider myself privileged to see her work before the world does. As I moved from poem to poem I could feel myself drawn into their powerful yet irresistible flow taking me into the Sanctum Santorum of devotion and love, where the finite seeks the infinite, where the earthly seeks the divine, enchanting me with the aroma of joss sticks, camphor and fragrance of sandalwood and myriad flowers. Her concinnity, word craft, lyricism and brevity characterize each of her poems, while the Indic imprint is clearly discernible in the entire work which perhaps gives her poems a unique identity. I find the collections in both the parts of the book, enticing, distinctive and captivating. "

“…As a poet, in the mystic Lal Ded tradition, she reveals herself as a passionate, and an intense poet… Her poetry is a pool of seven shades. In almost every poem, there is a godly glow with colour, that has a sparkler effect…Sindhoor’s poetry has a unique caliber, and she’ll triumph, if she spreads her rainbow horizon. She’s one of our few poets whose sense of observation is par excellence amongst our present day women poets….”
Gopikrishnan Kottoor, Poet and Author
Sindhoor's love poems defy age and time and bears the stamp of the perennial. Her flow is fluid and reader-friendly with simple images of yearning, devotional sensuality, and reads like an innocent cuckoo's pining. The poems remind the purity of Meera of Mewar and the lyrical poetry during Bhakti movement swathed in a modern garb. The deepest human emotion called love is unrolling easy and endless in different flavours and savours like an eternal Raas Leela. The poet persona transforms herself into various moods of Radha, of Meera, her unique self... and moves in the loom of emotions like she is a bhakti shuttle. Another Meera in our midst.
