When I read the poems of Swapna, I hear the song of birds, there is her beautiful country, India. There I find her wonderful people. In each letters, I see her poetic soul. In her poems reflects the love for life, love for beauty. Her poems make a garden with multicolour flowers, like a rainbow in the sky of India. In her poems, Swapna is forever spring.

Indian psyche has been truly reflected in Swapna Behara’s Book of Poems, entitled Amma is Singing: Poems on Indian Aroma. I believe the poems in this book will satisfy Indian aesthetic sensibilities.

As Swapna Behera carries off her trust in the strength of poetry with perfect elan, the name of the book is enough to evoke the full force of poetry, plucking the heartstrings of rare emotionsfrom the wide world and hard realities. Surely, the unique and evolved technique in her writing makesSwapna a virtuoso of poetic obsession with scientific credibility. The book deserves commendations for its distinctiveness in the new genre of contemporary writing, poetic flourishes and pivotal insight.
