The One I Never Knew is Parvathy’s second book of poetry after Rhapsody (self-published) in 2016. The book comprises of poems on various themes including intolerance, optimism, nature, transgender persons, war and alienation.
Parvathy Salil is a young poet, a former student of Literature at St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous) Ernakulam and currently, a student of Liberal Arts (Young India Fellowship Class of 2019) at Ashoka University, Haryana. She has been publishing poetry regularly since Grade VII and self-published her first book of poetry, “Rhapsody” in 2016. She was a national level finalist for the International MaRRS Spelling Bee Championship, 2014. She has recited her poems for the All India Radio’s Yuva Vani as well as at Literature festivals including the South India Poetry Festival, Krithi International Literature Festival etc. Her poems have been published in the Kendra Sahitya Akademi journal, Indian Literature and Deccan Chronicle among others.
