"It is heartening to see young students use Doodle – an art form that is basically a product of boredom – in contemporary and awe-inspiring form to protect our natural world.”
Naturalist and Founder – Adventure, Sports and Beyond
"This book is an amalgamation of hope. It not just literally pens the change, but also gives us insights on how the youth envision the world they will create tomorrow. One can almost feel the whispers of a movement growing in the foreseeable future. This book makes it all so real."
Igniting the young minds and channelising their thoughts towards environment conservation, SoCHE Foundation presents hand-picked doodles and essays created by school children. The book overall seeks to inspire everyone and provides details on how one can “PEN” THE CHANGE. Useful and interesting resource material to reconnect with Nature is also provided.
Nature’s Jamboree is an environment advocacy and engagement platform founded by SoCHE Foundation, to inspire everyone to re-connect with Nature. It is an effort to achieve SoCHE’s mission statement for 2035 that mentions – “Influence at least 10 million lives in urban and rural areas for sustainable living, enabling behaviour change for a cleaner planet.” Nature’s Jamboree, therefore, aims to raise awareness on environment conservation & sustainable living by engaging people meaningfully through art, culture & literature and celebrating nature.
SoCHE stands for Solutions for Clean and Healthy Environment. It is a not-for-profit social enterprise driving environmental sustainability among marginalised communities such as, potters. It is built on the principles of passion, commitment and love for conserving both the environment and Indian handicrafts. Through its work, the social enterprise is strategically aligned to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These include SDG 13 – Climate Action, SDG 12 - Responsible Production and Consumption and SDG 17 – Power of Partnerships. It has two flagship projects: Nature's Jamboree for environment advocacy and Project MaatiMilaap for sustainable development of Indian handicrafts.
