Molly Joseph’s poems have asimplicity and transparency that remind her readers of poets like John Clare. She is also close to nature like the early British Romantics.
The poems in this collection are free from complexities of thought and idiom; they come straight from the heart, artless and pure, so that even thoseuninitiated into the art of poetry can engage with their familiar modes of thought and of language.
