“Original, inspirational, uplifting... This delightful collection of doodles by young minds reveals that children see themselves as part of nature. Their whimsical, beautiful art shows the way forward for a living planet.”
Prerna Singh Bindra,
Wildlife Conservationist, Author, The Vanishing: India's Wildlife Crisis
SoCHE Foundation’s initiative, Nature’s Jamboree, is a celebration, an effort to inspire everyone to re-connect with Nature meaningfully. In the second edition of Nature’s Jamboree, five unique and innovative environment competitions for school children were announced. The book is an outcome of the Green Doodle Competition. To create doodles, children were particularly asked to select one theme from - Reconnect with Nature, Climate Change, Wildlife & Biodiversity, Water Conversation, Air Pollution, Healthy Soil & Food, Forests & Trees or Waste – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Only top 20 doodles have been included in this book based on the maturity of thinking and connection with the environment theme. The book overall seeks to inspire everyone to use doodling as a tool to conserve nature. It provides details on what doodling is, its history and how to get started.
“Doodles are a very effective tool in thinking deeply and depicting simply a concept or a thought. The Green Doodle initiative of SoCHE Foundation is laudable for getting the next generation to connect with the global environment challenge.”
Sushil Bhasin, Founder, Doodlewala
