I liked your thoughts in ‘Memory’. I have gone through your beautiful work, a knock at the door. In that I liked the poem ‘Traveller’.
- A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Poet, Former President of India.
Bhagyalakshmi, like Blake, sees the world in a grain of sand and Eternity in an hour. Great thoughts brim her verses.
- Dr. Krishna Srinivas,Padmabhushan, President, World Poetry.
The content of Dr. Bhagyalakshmi’s verses is in this that she grapples with world within...
At this point the perennial merges with the personal, the transient rises into a rounded realization.
- Mr. Keshav Malik,Padma Sri, Eminent Poet and Critic (Literature and Art)
This latest collection would come as reaffirmation of the humanitarian philosophy, which has been the mainstay of her poetry over the years.
-Dr. J.P. Das, Renowned Poet, Recipient of Saraswati Samman
Dr. J. Bhagyalakshmi has skillfully and truthfully picturised the age old saga of she (woman) to fit into every age. She has an experience which she cannot share with anyone, perhaps it is the enlightenment of knowing life or death, or (not withstanding Leadbeater) experience of life after death. Bhagyalakshmi makes readers numb with sadness at the end of the saga of ‘she’.
- Dr. V.S. Rama Devi,
Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka.
In Dr. J. Bhagyalakshmi’s delightful assortment of poems we find nuances of feeling coupled with the cravings and visions of spirit. It is not finding but trembling on the brink of finding the subtle thought. There is a language within language which imparts true poemness to any subject.
Anyone who has an olfactory nerve to smell a flower like Jasmine will certainly enjoy an encounter with her book.
- Prof. I.V. Chalapati Rao,
Chief Editor, Triveni.
