The title, Thorns in the Path reflects the social evils today that are shunned like ills to be cured without delay. Now-a-days the path meant for man to take is full of thorns strewn by his fellow beings. In these circumstances travails are faced by him in his travel in the path of success or progress. The author deals with the problems of contemporary society with his reformative zeal. The title, reflecting the nucleus of the themes portrayed in the bunch of short stories sounds appropriate in all respects.
