Dr. Usha Sridhar is an independent researcher and resides in Bangalore. Graduating with a Ph.D from the Inidan Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, Usha spent several decades as a researcher in India and overseas, and many years as an entrepreneur exploring applications intersecting economics, learning systems and financial analytics. Her work now involves developing mathematical models to study group decision making in the area of cooperative social networks and her scientific research papers have appeared in international journals and conference proceedings in India and abroad. At a personal, Usha loves travelling, is an avid bird watcher and also an amateur photographer. She likes to read - especially nonfiction - and is also great fan of science fiction movies. She is fond of debating and discussing a wide range of issues that span the social, political, economic, and the philosophical spectrum. Usha is passionate about poetry and short stories that capture the beauty and variety of life, its poignancy and verve, its sadness and depth, and its highs and its lows, in the folds of their picturesque words and imageries. In her own work, Usha tries to tell tales from her observations of the many slices of life around her and the weft and weave of its dreams. Usha’s poems and short story contributions have previously appeared in RatemyLiterature, MuseIndia, efiction India; and in many anthologies like the Amaravati Poetic Prism-2016 and Efflorescence 2016, and others.
