Taro Aizu was born in the Aizu region of Fukushima prefecture, Japan. He lives in Kanagawa near Tokyo now. He has been writing haiku for 20 years, gogyoshi for 12 years in Japanese, and both for 5 years in English and French. He published 6 Books in English and Japanese. Five poetry books. The Lovely Earth, My Fukushima, わが福島,My Fukushima Mon Fukushima, This Precious Earth, 私の彼方. His books are translated into many foreign languages. Few Awards received by Taro are (1) Poet Laureate Award, Philippines in 2013, (2) International Excellent Poet Award, Japan in 2014, (3) The Award of the Literary Career, Macedonia in 2015. Exhibitions of artworks inspired by his gogyoshi have been held 10 times in 7 countries since November in 2012. Gogyoshi Art Project International (GAPI) in Facebook has been promoting those exhibitions (1) Holland in 2012, (2) Holland, Brazil in 2013, (3) Germany, Portugal in 2014, and (4) France, Spain, South Korea in 2015.
