Sameer Kakkar is a bilingual poet who writes poetry in English and Hindustani, with a sense of destiny, hoping to inspire people in this journey called life.
A book compiling his Poetry Titled “Kabhi Yun Bhi Hota Hai” has been published. An audio CD of his Ghazals titled “BoondHoon Main” sung by renowned singers has been released. Hindustan Times has featured articles on his Poetry. He has participated in programs about poetry on All India Radio. His Ghazals have been aired on Zee TV. LokSabha TV has done feature on him and Universal Poetry He has been invited to judge Poetry writing contests for Delhi University. His latest literary works are “Full Moon Empty Arms” (English Poems) &“KhayaalJaaneyAnjaaney” (Poems in Hindustani).
Sameer Kakkar has founded Universal Poetry, which is an international platform that endeavors to encourage and foster the sharing of culture and literature between India and other countries. The vision of this non-profitable initiative of sharing intellectual thought through the medium of poetry, is to inspire and promote global perspectives on Peace and Friendship. The countries which have done poetry readings in collaboration with Universal Poetry, with Sameer Kakkar chairing the readings are-Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Romania, Russia, Hungary and Portugal.
