Tulsi Bhandari 66, was born in the remote hills near Ranikhet, district Almora. She did her post graduation in Chemistry from Lucknow University in the year 1968 and is an alumnus of Isabella Thoburn College from where she graduated. She also holds a Master’s degree in education, has been a teacher, educational advisor, house wife and mother. For the last 15 years she has been exclusively devoted to spiritual endeavors while performing all her work as a house wife.
She has published a book of Hindi Verse Anterchetna and gave expression to the utilitarian life changing aspects as experienced by her of Eric Berne’s Transactional Analysis, the Bhagvad Gita and Sri Aurobindo’s extensive writings in her book The Autonomous Adult and Karma Yoga. When the author published Anterchetna, the author had acknowledged the fact that those were pages from her diary, expressing a sensitivity touched by day to day life and relationships, and she therefore, was not sure whether to call them poems. These pages too are in the same category; but presented here are states of a consciousness which is steadily turning towards a truth which is in harmony with the inner being as it rises towards the universal and the transcendent and aspires for an integral divine life on earth. There are ten poems in this anthology which are translations from Anterchetna, included here to establish a bridging of a now conscious inner journey with the one which had always been going on covertly.
Yoga of the Gita for the Modern Seeker, an extension of her first book on yoga has also been published.
