Brinda Bala Sreenivasan is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of English and Foreign Languages, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi, Kerala. She was born in Trissur, and grew up in Kozhikode. She was educated at Malabar Christian College, Providence Women’s College and St. Joseph’s College, Devagiri. She took to poetry from an early age and has published her works in journals and magazines. She has compiled and edited academic publications such as Creativity in the Era of Globalization (2013), Distant Thunder: Voice of the Silenced (2014), Verbal to Visual: The Aesthetic Semiotics of Classics as Movies (2016)and English as a Corporate Communication Medium (2017).A Handful of Pearls is her first collection of poems. She lives in Kochi.
