Yamini Prashanth is the 16-year-old author of Mishti, a children’s novella. Mishti was published by Unicorn Books Private Limited and was launched in Landmark Bookstore, Chennai in October 2013. Yamini wrote Mishti when she was 11-years-old. Mishti was reviewed by our honourable Ex-President, Shri A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Her second book, Best of Grannys’ Stories, was launched in September 2014. It is a collection of 20 short stories meant for kids and was published by Tinytot publications. Yamini’s third book titled, Uma –Not So Perfect, a 35000 word young adult fiction was launched in Odyssey Book Store, Chennai in April 2016 by Mango DC Books. Yamini is also one of the youngest TEDx speakers of India. She spoke at TEDxEMWS at the Ecole Mondiale World School in Mumbai in 2014. This book will mark her debut in the genre of poetry.
