For a helpless kid born in a remote hamlet of Madhubani district, the land of Mithila to become a poet of English language was nothing sort of an impossibility. However, the goddess Muse smiled on me and showered her poetic blessings at an early age so as to enable me to unravel her mysteries in times to come in the form of poetry.
Blessed with a social background remarkable for its education and learning of teacher’s family and thus I grew to be a born teacher lisping limericks that came as naturel to me as leaves to the trees.
The green verdure of pastoral surrounding and murmuring brooks around, I became dreamy eyed.
Ultimately education being over I landed myself in a school of some repute only to explain the subtitles and finer points of poetic numbers. The dream seemed to be turning into a reality when I found myself getting reckoned among the national poets of repute. My poem saw the light of the day in various magazines of the country and I was declared first prize winner by “The Asian Age”. It was followed by yet another sobriquet when my performance as a teacher came to be fully recognized and got honored with Nation Builder Award 2016 of the state of Bihar by Rotary India Literacy Mission.
Children and nature both remained the inspiring factor for my creativity. My poems are moreover the outcome of the day today happenings and the mirror of the society for generations recording the history.
